HOAX ALERT: No Boil Water Notice Issued

As of October 5, 2025, no boil water notice for Yigo and Mangilao has been issued by Guam Waterworks Authority (GWA) or Guam Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This graphic, circulating on messaging apps and social media, is based on a local media outlet's outdated social media post from July 19, 2025.

The boil water notice was issued on July 18, 2025, out of an abundance of caution after one well showed a positive result for E. Coli. Subsequent testing showed no contamination, and the boil water notice was lifted by the Guam EPA on July 19, 2025.
